Madrid is the capital of Spain and the largest city of the country. This is a modern, vibrant and noisy metropolis where life is in full swing attracting a huge number of tourists. Local residents are incredibly proud to be “Madridians” and are always ready to talk about the sights of their city, delicious national dishes and places of the best Flamenco dancing!
Madrid’s architecture is a bit like in Paris: wide avenues and beautiful monumental buildings, squares, parks and museums.
Madrid can rightfully be considered one of the cultural capitals of Europe. Over the centuries the Spanish crown accumulated masterpieces of art, which are now exhibited in numerous museums.
The capital of Spain is also famous for its cuisine and nightlife.
This city has an incredible charisma that you feel as soon as you step off the plane. Madrid is extremely rich in cultural and architectural attractions, such as the Prado Museum, Reina Sofia Museum, Royal Palace, Palace of Communications, Almudena Cathedral, Las Ventas Arena, Retiro Park, Plaza Mayor and many other attractions.
You definitely have to eat Madrid Paella! Paella is a national Spanish and Valencian dish made from rice tinted with saffron and olive oil. In addition, seafood, vegetables, chicken, white wine, herbs and spices can be added to paella. Of course, the recipe for paella is almost the same, but believe me, it tastes different in every restaurant. How chefs do this is a mystery!
Coming to a Flamenco dance show, you seem to find yourself in some other world that takes you back to past centuries.
In general Madrid itself is a mysterious city, shrouded in history, full of palaces, parks, exhibitions, dances, numerous hotels for every taste and, of course, local residents who warmly welcome you and are ready to tell you the secrets of their unforgettable city!
