I live in Italy. I have managed to visit almost all the regions of this unique country. In my series of articles about this wonderful country, I am sharing my personal impressions and inspiration that each of its magical corners offers.
Piedmont
Langhe Region
As it is written in one of my books, “this is the land of multi-coloured vineyards, ancient churches and thick morning autumn fogs.” This is the region where I first came in the autumn seven years ago, and after having seen its splendor, I fell in love forever.
It is right now, at the end of October, that truffles are collected here. At this time, all the restaurants in the region start serving dishes with the incredible truffle flavour. And if you want to have lunch or dinner in a restaurant with a view of the famous Langhe hills, you need to book a table in advance!
As this is a vineyard area, wine-tastings are held here all year round, so no matter what season you come, you will definitely enjoy it!
Visit the communities of Barolo, Barbaresco, La Morra and other small neighboring towns, discovering their charm.
Mont Blanc
This is where the highest mountain in the Alps is located. In the northwestern Italy, in the area of the famous city of Aosta, you can enjoy views of the majestic Alps. The purest mountain air, coolness in the summer season unlike other places in Italy, delicious food in mountain restaurants with breathtaking panoramas, unforgettable skiing in winter, as well as the glory of Monte Bianco (also known as Mont Blanc in French) – all that attracts permanent tourists.
Believe me, if you discover this region, you will want to come back here over and over again.
My advice: choose accommodation with a view of the Alps, and then, after waking up in the morning, you will feel completely blissful!

Young Princess Anna arrives in Rome on an official visit. Her days are scheduled down to the minute – receptions, visits to factories, interviews … in general, boredom! She is just a girl, she wants freedom and so runs away from the palace to the street, where the inhabitants of the Eternal City walk, sing and kiss.
“Shadows in the Sun”
A young editor at a major London publishing house, Jeremy Tyler, is given the task of finding the once famous writer Weldon Parish in Italy and signing a contract for a new book with him at all costs. Tyler takes up this task with enthusiasm, because Weldon Parish is his favorite writer.
