As you all know, last year the Russo Brothers were brought back by Marvel, five years after their massive success with Avengers: Endgame. At an official event, the studio introduced the directors, revealed that the film’s main villain would be Doctor Doom, and announced the actor taking on the role — none other than the legendary Robert Downey Jr.
Following this announcement, development on the project kicked into high gear. The studio assembled a team of writers and, of course, a stellar cast for Avengers: Doomsday. Just recently, Marvel’s official channels released a teaser video revealing the film’s main cast. The video featured a camera moving past a row of studio chairs, each labeled with an actor’s name.
Chris Hemsworth’s chair was the first in line, and the sequence ended with Robert Downey Jr. himself. Unlike his co-stars, Downey Jr. made a grand entrance—already seated in his chair. He turned around, flashed a signature smile at the camera, and then walked off into the distance, marking the end of the teaser.
Marvel fans were thrilled by the reveal, while casual moviegoers were pleasantly surprised. Avengers 5, officially titled “Doomsday”, is set to hit theaters next year on May 5th — and we have no doubt you won’t want to miss it!
