‘Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto’ exhibition — Gabrielle Chanel devoted her life to creating, perfecting and promoting a new kind of elegance free from extravagance, based on freedom of movement and on a natural attitude, thus creating a timeless style. This was her “fashion manifesto”, an inescapable heritage that is more relevant than ever today.
Having premiered in Paris in 2020 and travelled to Melbourne and Tokyo, the exhibition, created in partnership with the Palais Galliera, the Fashion Museum of the City of Paris, and with the support of CHANEL, is now open in London and will run through February 25th, 2024 at the V&A South Kensington.
