Last year, it was announced that Paul Thomas Anderson would be directing a new film starring Leonardo DiCaprio, with the plot revolving around a secret organization and a woman entangled in its affairs. Anderson’s last film, Licorice Pizza, wasn’t a massive box office hit but received several award nominations and was highly praised by critics.
Filming for the director’s new project took place over the past two years, with DiCaprio in the lead role. The film, titled One Battle After Another, was later officially confirmed by Warner Bros.

According to various sources, the film’s budget has reportedly ballooned to an impressive $140 million, making it the most expensive project of Anderson’s career and one of the most expensive even for DiCaprio. Of course, a significant portion of that budget likely went toward the lead actor’s salary.

The newly released trailer gives us a first look at the main character, the film’s logo, supporting characters (including Benicio Del Toro’s role), and hints at the story’s central theme — a mysterious jazz organization that DiCaprio’s character becomes involved with.

The trailer is a must-watch, and we can only hope the filmmakers deliver something truly remarkable. Then again, with Anderson, they always do!
