The story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has long held a cult status — first, due to its profound influence on children and multiple generations, and later, thanks to Disney’s iconic 1937 animated adaptation.

Rumors of a live-action reboot had been circulating for years, and in 2021, the film finally entered active production. Following her breakthrough performance in West Side Story, Rachel Zegler quickly rose to stardom in Hollywood, especially after being cast as Snow White by Disney.
Gal Gadot portrays the Evil Queen, who is determined to sabotage Snow White and her natural beauty.

Initially, the film featured real actors playing the dwarfs without CGI effects, but this sparked controversy among some viewers, who criticized the decision as unfair to actors with dwarfism. As a result, the filmmakers later altered the characters to have a more animated, traditional “dwarf-like” appearance.

Directed by Marc Webb, Snow White premiered in select countries on March 15. Now, audiences have the chance to witness the on-screen clash between two talented actresses and decide for themselves whether this adaptation lives up to the beloved 1937 classic.
